TRP Code of Conduct & Policies

At The Read Pages, our tours are built on community, creativity, and respect for the books and authors we feature. We ask our hosts to show up with enthusiasm, authenticity, and clear communication so every tour is a positive experience for everyone involved.

📌 What We Expect From Hosts

​

To help make each tour successful, hosts should:

​

  1. Maintain an active public platform

  • Hosts must have an active public account (Instagram, TikTok, blog, podcast, YouTube, etc.) where readers can view content. 

 

   2. Post on your scheduled tour date

  • Hosts are expected to post on their assigned tour day. If something comes up, please notify us as soon as possible so we can make adjustments. Posts must go live before the tour ends.

   3. Create original content

  • Your audience follows you for your voice. Whether it's a review, an aesthetic post, a discussion, or a creative feature, your content should reflect your personality, style, honest thoughts, and reading experience.

  • If you received an ARC (Advanced Reader Copy) or a free copy of the book, please disclose this when required by your platform.

  • Plagiarism is not allowed! Do not use someone else’s graphics, captions, or intellectual property without permission.

   4. Tag appropriately

  • Please tag @TheReadPagesBT, the author, and any relevant tour links in your post.

  • If your review is negative, we ask that you do not tag the author and notify the TRP team beforehand. Honest reviews are always welcome, just keep it respectful.

   5. Story posts are welcome — but not as the main post

  • Instagram or TikTok story posts are encouraged as additional promotion, but they do not count as the primary tour stop.

   6. Communicate early

  • If you are unable to finish the book or feel it may not be a good fit, please notify us before the tour begins.

  • Please notify TRP of any changes to social media handles between sign-ups and tour dates.

Strike Policy

 

We understand that life happens, but reliability is essential to keeping tours organized and fair to authors.

Hosts who do not meet tour expectations may receive a strike.

​

The three-strike rule applies:

​

  1. 1st Strike: Friendly reminder and communication from the TRP team

  2. 2nd Strike: Temporary removal from upcoming tours

  3. 3rd Strike: Removal from future TRP tour opportunities

 

  • Strikes may reset after 6 months of active participation without issues.

  • Failure to post on your assigned tour date without communication may result in removal from the tour and may count toward a strike.

  • The Read Pages reserves the right to remove hosts from tours if conduct conflicts with our community standards.
